The HC-SR04 ultrasonic sensor is one of the most popular and easy to use distance sensors. It is compatible with Arduino, and it has some advantages over the analog distance sensors: it needs only digital I/O pins, it has higher noise immunity and better precision.

- Power supply voltage: 5 VDC
- Static current consumption: less than 2 mA
- Sensor beam angle: less than 15o
- Detection range: 2 cm to 450 cm
- Resolution: 0.3 cm
Note: Do not plugin the sensor while the circuit is powered. This can lead to damage or slight performance degradation.
